Who is Raoul T Coleman?Ray Coleman, is best known for lying about the creation of the ABBA strain Alapaha, cruel training techniques, ruthless disregard of life, deceit, conning people and the defamation and slander of breeders and registries.
What is the ABBA?In the mid 90's Ray Coleman/ Cattle Rustler Kennels was banned from breeding Alapahas under the breeds mother registry the "Animal Research Foundation ARF" Coleman was banned for breeding pure-bred Alapahas with other breeds[1]. In 1997 Coleman told Lana's dog trainer and well known breeder of Old Southern Bulldogs and the founders Alapahas, Mr M R Nicholas, that he wanted to create a marketable Alapaha, but would do so by cross breeding and duping the public into believing his dogs were the purest [2]. He would later be known to cross American Bulldogs, Olde English Bulldogges and other breeds because his goal was to produce a bully, shorter, stockier exotic colored bulldog. whist in the process, hijacking the name Alapaha Blue-Blood Bulldog from the originator to dupe the general public [3]. But back then there was no other registry apart from the mother registry the ARF which Coleman was already banned from. So in late 1997 Coleman created the Alapaha Blue-Blood Bulldog Association ABBA out of thin air, and made up fictitious characters for board members and club officers. Coleman began issuing ABBA papers on his own concoctions as Original Pure-Bred Alapahas from a typewriter in the back room of his house.
How does his ABBA registry have so much support?When Ray Coleman came out of the wood work in 2009 the ABBA's integrity droped tremendously, between 2012 and 2014 the ABBA lost approximately 75% of the breeds most established breeders due unprofessional conduct and deceit by the ABBA president Coleman, These Breeders chose to leave for better, professional registries, such as The International Alapaha Blue-Blood Bulldog Registry. Due to what can only be described as a mass exodus Ray Coleman began a slander campaign to directly effect the reputations of these well known breeders. Today the IABBR registers puppies from the breeds most respected and established breeder ALL of whom chose to leave the ABBA due to Ray Coleman's abuse of Power as ABBA President.There is a small handful of Alapaha breeders that hold Coleman in high regard, they are newcomers and nine times out of ten have never spoken to Coleman, they blindly follow, trying to score points, many times defending him and paying homage to the ABBA in the face of damning evidenced that proves dishonest behavior. They do this for a number of reason, One group do this because they are brainwashed by the hypocrisy of the ABBA, they do not know what goes on behind closed doors and believe the registry to be legitimate. The second group of what have been described as "ABBA warriors" defend Coleman and the ABBA, because they feel safe in the registry, and don't want that safety threatened by exposure to the general public and potential buyers of their puppies of corruption and dishonesty within the ABBA. The third group defend and support the ABBA and Coleman through silence, they do not defend nor do they publicly support Ray and the ABBA, in private they are disgusted with the ABBA and how Coleman is allowed to abuse his power as ABBA president, yet by staying Silent they unwittingly but directly support Ray Coleman and the ABBA.
So it's true that most breeders left the ABBA?YES, Here are a few of the breeders who left the ABBA in recent years due to Ray Coleman's abuse of Power as self appointed ABBA President. These breeders now register their dogs with the IABBR and or the ACA

Why is the ABBA Still Alive?To understand the dynamics of the the ABBA one would have to watch they way Coleman conducts himself as ABBA President. Coleman is consistently inflating his feelings of personal ability, privilege, and infallibility. Coleman is the bully in the playground that is popularized by his peers through fear. He incites this fear, by controlling and dominating members, from a position of superiority in order to create a systematic breakdown of self in a new breeders self confidence, hoping to stem critical thinking, thus controlling their actions. ABBA members are brainwashed with propaganda, they are made to believe that the ABBA is the only good registry for Alapahas, and that all other registries are obsolete and useless. In the mind of your everyday ABBA breeder there are no other alternatives but to either show undying loyalty or stay quiet and say nothing. This brainwashing also has ABBA members believing that they are provided with seeming credibility and other advantages over other registries. Some find it too difficult or worry about the 'isolation' they will face if they say that they no longer have support for the ABBA. But this feeling of being trapped and isolated, continues to propagate the unhealthy membership of the ABBA.
ABBA Cult, where has that come from?People often think of the ABBA as a cult. Cults have a leader/ a 'Guru'. in this case, it is the self appointed ABBA President, Ray Coleman/Cattle Rustler Kennels, "The Self Appointed ABBA Authority Figure" Of course, Coleman has purposely structured the ABBA this way, to help feed his narcissistic, egocentric personality, "The Alapaha genius" as he refers to himself. Coleman's persona has often been likened to that of a "God Complex".Like all good cults, many of the ABBA group display excessive zealous towards Coleman, using his quotes as their own, in an effort to show their commitment to the President. Many feel that they must praise him for dogs he hasn't even produced. Coleman is known to come on private ABBA forums and exert dominance over ABBA breeders, claiming that he deserves the notoriety and credit for dogs that they have produced. Often treading on peoples friends to drive a wedge between a breeder and client and breeder to breeder - "Divide & Conquer". Coleman has been caught red handed lying to one breeder about another to cause a false animosity between the two. Coleman knows that a well informed, united group could end his rein as the self proclaimed ABBA Guru, so by causing wedges between breeders he is able to keep everyone unsure of who to trust.
Why isn't Coleman just ousted by his peers?Coleman is intelligent, articulate, cunning and callous, He has a grandiose estimation of self and is a pathological liar, Believe it or not Ray Coleman ticks ALL the boxes of the "Hare Psychopathy Checklist". When an ABBA member shows dissent, or questions his authority he makes an example of that person to a point where other club members are too scared to step in an defend that person. This leads to a phenomenon called the "Bystander Effect" - A social psychological phenomenon that refers to cases in which individuals do not offer any means of help to a victim when other people are present.When one breeder shows support for another who is being ostracized by Coleman, they will quickly find themselves a target of his slander. Coleman is an extremely self confident, socially assertive, master strategist. He uses bully tactics and knows that by ostracizing breeders and isolating those he has discrepancies with, he maintains his power, and keeps the group segregated and afraid to challenge his corrupt authority. Unfortunately because of these tactics, many people today choose self preservation above standing up for what is right.
Why are so many well known breeders not in good standing with the ABBA?To be in good standing with the ABBA, you have to be in good standing with Ray Coleman. Many of the breeds most experienced breeders, are not in good standing with the ABBA, not because they were in breach of ABBA COE like one would expect, but because they had a personal discrepency with Ray Coleman/ Cattle Rustler Kennels. |
